Our Story

Taking inspiration from the electronic dance music culture, Mac & Smash strives to be a genuine representation of the lifestyle by letting you wear the music proudly. Our goal is to take the feelings from the music, as well as, influences from respected artists and put it into our products, bringing creativity and unique designs to the scene.

In the spring of 2011, and only a year out of college, Mac (Bernice Evanne) and Smash (Ashley Moore) founded their company. They began as a small, under-the-radar music blog in Chicago, IL hoping to draw more attention to electronic music as a genre, as well as, support amazing DJs and producers on a local and national level. After their growing popularity within the Chicago scene, they expanded into a clothing company starting with one shirt, "Sex, Drugs & Bass." This gave them the platform they needed to grow and gain the attention of the very artists they sought to celebrate. Benga, Krewella, Heroes x Villains, Willy Joy, Dillion Francis, David Heartbreak, and Nadastorm to name a few, have all rocked Mac & Smash garb.

From its inception, the vision behind Mac & Smash has been to become the best online resource for EDM news, entertainment, and design. Innovation, an understanding of the music industry, and the demand for perfection has driven the company's success thus far and will continue to drive it into the future.
